Take A Tour

About

elements_Divider-G.png

Camp Lantern Creek is a picturesque escape from the city, offering gorgeous sunrise and sunset views on 100 acres of the beautiful Texas Piney Woods. We are located 55 miles from Houston, 140 miles from Austin, and 200 miles from both San Antonio and Dallas. We can accommodate groups big and small for rentals September to May, and in the summer we become a home away from home to all of our beloved campers and staff.

Our Cabins

Campers lives center around their home away from home in our five cabins, North, South, East, West and Compass. The cabins have central air-conditioning and heat, bathrooms inside the cabins, and each has its own yard, clothesline & fire pit.

Rally Hall

Rally Hall, the gathering spot for meals and activities. Decorated brightly, Rally is the bright spot in our day. Campers sit family style with their cabin mates at most meals and no meal is complete without songs sung and announcements made. Our kitchen staff works hard to feed the bodies and souls of our campers at each meal.

Take a Dip

We have many options to cool off at CLC. Whether it be on our own 40 ft water slide affectionately known as “Sally Ride”, or canoeing or fishing on Barrett’s Lake or swimming lessons in one of our two pools, water is part of each and every day for campers.

The Muse

Our camper's spot for inspiration. The Muse houses our black box theather which hosts talent shows and exhibitions of the camper's skills learned in Spotlight, Stage Crew, Singers and Steppers. The Muse also includes four classroom/studios for Knit Wits, Hello Dolly, and Studio 1. The outside of the Muse hosts even more fun with our giant movie screen so campers can watch the "Stars" unders the stars!

The Challenge Course

The CLC Challenge Course is situated behind Barrett's Lake, tucked away from the living areas of camp. Our adventure course is run by our certified ropes facilitators and is an excellent way for our older campers to experience challenging themselves and building self confidence in what we call "challenge by choice". It also is an opportunity for us to create lasting relationships through team building games and exercises with our leadership girls.
